The Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (CEMAC) is set to put biometric passports into circulation within the month of August 2010. The CEMAC passport is being printed by SEMLEX, and Interpol is helping with implementation. Members of CEMAC are Cameroon, Congo, Central African Republic, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad. The passport will abide by the standards of the Organization for Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), its promoters said.
